Carrie stood firm. “There’s no need for exceptions. Contracts should be respected, and I shouldn’t receive special treatment.”

Taking a step back, she added, “I’m grateful for the company’s support at the start. Even though I’m not renewing, we might still find ways to collaborate in the future.”

Left with no alternatives, the CEO reluctantly accepted her decision. “Please consider us your extended family. Should you decide to write any scripts, we’ll offer you twice what Silver Elephant Media does.”
