Chapter 141 SAGE
"How long are you planning to keep me here?" I asked directly, my voice steadier than I felt. My heart thumped wildly as Titus closed the door behind him with a heavy "thud."
in
My pulse kicked up another notch when he started peeling off his clothes without a word. First, his jacket hit the floor, followed by the slow unbuttoning of his shirt, exposing his chiseled chest and taut muscles. My breath caught but not from admiration-it was fear that gripped me like a vice
my
throat,
"W-What are you doing?" I stammered, stepping back instinctively, my voice laced with panic.
He tilted his head slightly, an amused smirk curving his lips. 'Am I not allowed to take a bath in my own room?" he asked casually, as if this situation were perfectly normal.
His words threw me off. "Your room?" I echoed in disbelief. "Where are we? And how long are you planning to keep me
here?"
He raised a brow, his smirk deepening. "Oh, come on, kitten. You just got here. Why are you so eager to leave?" His sarcasm was thick, daring me to believe I had any control over the situation. But we both knew the truth-I was his prisoner, and leaving wasn't an option. I clenched my fists. "I need to go, Titus-
Before I could finish, everything blurred. In a blink, he was in front of me, mere inches away. His hand shot out, gripping my neck with brutal precision. The sudden impact against the wall knocked the breath from my lungs, noveldrama
"Your Majesty," he corrected, his voice dangerously low, each word dripping with venom. "That's how you're supposed to address me. You don't get to call me by my name after you betrayed me."
His fingers tightened around my throat, cutting off my air. I clawed at his hand, desperate to free myself, but his grip was unyielding. My feet dangled off the ground, panic surging through me as my vision began to blur.
I gasped, struggling against the suffocating hold, my lungs burning for air. The room spun, darkness creeping at the edges of my sight. Just when I thought I would slip into unconsciousness, he released me with a sudden shove.
I crumpled to the floor, coughing violently as air rushed back into my lungs. My throat throbbed, raw and bruised, each breath a painful reminder of his strength.
I forced myself to sit up, my entire body trembling from the aftermath of his assault. Each ragged breath scraped against my raw throat, but I swallowed the pain, refusing to let it show. My pride clung to me like armor, cracked but still intact.
My voice came out hoarse, barely above a whisper, as I fought to steady it. "What are you planning to do with me?"
Titus loomed above me, casting a shadow that felt heavy and oppressive. His presence sucked all the air out of the room. The cold gleam in his eyes made my stomach churn, but I held His gaze, refusing to cower even though fear coiled tightly in my chest. "What else would it be?" he said, his voice disturbingly calm, each word deliberate. "I have every plan of getting my money's worth."
A chill ran down my spine as his lips curled into a smile that sent waves of dread through me.

"You're going to be my breeder. Isn't that what your auction description promised!"
The casual menace in his tone was far more terrifying than any yell or threat. There was no need for theatrics when the words themselves were so cutting, so final.
My breath hitched, a wave of nausea rising in my throat. "No," I whispered, disbelief and horror mingling in my voice.
He crouched down, bringing himself eye level with me, his face unnervingly calm. "Oh, but you will, Sage." he said softly, the gentleness of his tone a stark contrast to the cruelty of his intentions. "You have no choice. Your bloodline is too valuable to waste, and I paid a hefty price to claim it."
I shook my head, my nails digging into the plush carpet beneath me as I tried to ground myself. "We both know pay a single cent. Didn't you trash the auction?" I accused him. you didn't
Titus's hand shot out, gripping my chin with a brutal tenderness tilting my face toward his. His touch burned, not with warmth but with the icy sting of power and dominance.
"That's true: But you have no idea what I've been through just to find you..." he murmured, his breath brushing against my skin.
My pulse raced, panic threatening to consume me, but rage simmered just beneath the surface, igniting toy resolve.
"You can't keep me here, I spat, my voice raw but firm.
His smile widened, dark amusement flickering in his eyes. "We'll see," he said quietly, standing back up with a casual ease that only fueled my hatred.
He continued to remove his clothes until nothing was left, revealing his perfectly sculpted body. No matter how much I hated him. I still couldn't deny the fact that he has that effect on my body.
I was a bit relieved when he finally entered the bathroom, leaving me alone in the room even just for a while.
I only got a few minutes to think about my escape plan. If what Titus was saying was true, then that means I will lose my chance to go back with my children.
Then, how about telling him about them?
chest.
A tiny voice whispered in the back of my mind, tempting me with the possibility. But fear clamped down hard on my How could I be sure he wouldn't take them from me? He wanted me here to give him a child, to fulfill some twisted purpose he had in mind. But what would he do if he found out the truth-that he already had children with me?
Would he let me stay with them, allow us to be a family under this strange, suffocating roof? Or would he throw me out now that he had what he wanted, keeping my babies as trophies while discarding me like yesterday's trash?
The thought was unbearable. I clenched my fists, my heart racing at the terrifying possibilities. Harper and Cooper were my everything-the very reason I kept fighting, kept surviving. I couldn't risk losing them.
No matter what, I had to protect my children from him. Even if meant keeping the truth buried deep inside me for as long as I possibly could.
