The more he talked, the more furious he became. “Kristopher fought tooth and nail to take control of the Norris family to be with Lise. And now, Daxton going after her is like asking Kristopher to destroy the Garcia family. It’s the same thing.”

Mila’s tone shifted instantly, her casualness replaced by shock. “What? How do you know all of this?”

Cillian snapped, his frustration reaching its limit. “How do I know? You’re asking me that? I’m halfway around the world, and I know, while you’re sitting there completely clueless? You’re too busy with your own life to pay attention to our son. If Kristopher decides to go after us, let’s see how long you can keep living in luxury!”

Mila felt a cold wave of fear wash over her. The memory of Kristopher cutting ties with the Garcia family years ago flooded back, as if it had just happened.
