Reborn From Oblivion

Chapter 507

Greta shot her a sharp look. "What if I told you it's not her this time?"

Cameron stared at her, completely taken aback. "If it's not her, then who else could it be?"

Greta's smile was bittersweet. Slowly, it faded away, leaving an icy expression in its place. "Cameron, it's you!" she declared with certainty. Cameron's eyes widened. "You've got to be kidding me."

Greta was unwavering. "I heard everything you and your grandfather were plotting in that room."

Cameron froze, a moment of panic flickering across his face before he quickly gathered himself. "So, am I wrong for wanting a divorce?"

"Your grandfather said you could become a widower but never a divorcee," Greta pointed out.

Cameron rolled his eyes. "And from that, you think I'm out to get you? Come on, Greta, use your brain. He was just trying to keep me from divorcing you. And you bought it?"

"But today, when those thugs were harassing me, you were right there, weren't you?" Greta accused.

Cameron looked puzzled. "Greta, what are you even talking about?"

Greta pulled out her phone. "I'm calling the police."

Cameron was stunned. To him, Greta's accusations were pure nonsense. He seriously began to question her mental state.

The police arrived shortly after.

They took a detailed statement from Greta, which implicated not only Cameron and Griffin but also Nathalie and her bodyguard.

The officer frowned as he reviewed the case. "This is quite complex. Mrs. Dawson, you claim your husband and father-in-law conspired against you, yet you say you saw your husband at the scene."

"And you also accuse Ms. Nathalie's bodyguard of leading you to Rainbow Bridge under false pretenses..."

"In the same incident, you're pointing fingers at two separate masterminds. It just doesn't add up."

"They were in it together!" Greta insisted.

The officer replied, "But as far as I know, your husband and Nathalie have always been at odds... practically enemies."

Cameron was flabbergasted. "There's nothing between Nathalie and me! How can you make such wild claims?"

"I'm not making this up... If there's nothing going on, then why are you so eager for a divorce?"

"You really don't get why we're splitting up?" Cameron shot back.

"Our relationship used to be so strong..."

"Yeah, back when I was blind," Cameron said, cutting her off.

Greta fell silent.

While Greta was all worked up,

Cameron remained composed as he spoke to the officer. "I bought a bunny toy for a kid yesterday, and she's spun it into some wild fantasy. Seriously?"

Cameron laughed self-deprecatingly. "My ex-wife can't stand me. How could there be any rekindled feelings? Officer, I think my wife might be losing it."

To cover all bases, the police brought in Nathalie and Nathan as well.

Nathan's presence seemed to bring a resolution to the case.

One officer, familiar with Nathan, was visibly shocked upon seeing him, his reaction almost comical.

"So, you're saying Miss Nathalie is cheating on Mr. Nathan with Mr. Dawson?" he exaggerated, gesturing wildly.

Nathan and Cameron stood side by side, their differences glaringly obvious.

Nathan, with his youthful good looks and confident demeanor, was a stark contrast to Cameron's weary and dejected appearance. Standing together, it was clear who the foolish choice would be.noveldrama
