Tania chewed on her lip, unable to come up with a comeback. After all, Charles was her big brother, and he had a way with words that just left her speechless.

Brandon was clearly smitten with Peter, looking up at him with wide-eyed admiration. Giggling, he tugged on Peter's hand, dashing from one spot to another, their laughter filling the air.

Noelle's heart swelled with joy at the sight, and she dreamed a little about her future kids with Charles.

In the midst of snapping photos, Noelle's phone rang. It was Charles. "Charles?"

"Still at the amusement park?" came Charles's voice. Noelle quirked an eyebrow. "Yep, Brandon's having a blast with Peter. What's up?"

"Share your exact location with me. Tania and I are coming to meet you guys!"

"Tania found out?" Noelle's voice wavered, a twinge of guilt creeping in. "She didn't say anything, did she?"

"Uh, nope." Charles said.

"That's great. I'll send you the location right now!" Noelle ended the call, quickly shared the location with Charles, and snapped a few pictures of Peter and Brandon. As Peter approached, cradling Brandon in his arms, she pocketed her phone. "Peter, Charles just rang. He's on his way with Tania. She knows I brought Brandon to meet you."

"Got it!" Peter replied, his reaction subdued. "Thanks a bunch for today!"

Noelle flashed a small smile. "No problem, Brandon's been having a blast." She pulled out her phone again. "I took some cute pics and even got a video of you two."

"Really?"

"Yeah!" Noelle handed him her phone and showed him the album. Peter's face melted into a tender smile as he saw Brandon's joyous grin.

Noticing his softened expression, Noelle chimed in, "I'll send you all the photos and the video later. This is your first real picture together with Brandon, after all."

"Sounds good!" Peter agreed, wiping the sweat from Brandon's brow with a towel from the little backpack. "Brandon, ready for more fun? Mom and Uncle are going to be here any minute!"

"I want to play more! I want to play with my mom, uncle, and aunt!" Brandon's excitement was palpable, and he clapped his hands at the mention of Tania and Charles. Then, with a hopeful gaze at Peter, he said, "Unele Peter, I wish you were my dad."

"Really?" Peter quirked an eyebrow, a teasing smile playing at his lips. "You don't like your dad?"

Brandon shook his head, nodded, and shook his head again, a little tornado of confusion. "Other kids' dads live with their moms, but my dad doesn't live with me and Mom. He doesn't like me!"

Peter's gaze sharpened. "He doesn't like you? Why?"

Brandon's eyes darted around as he clung to Peter's hand. "Uncle Peter, I've gotta tell you something. My dad's got a girlfriend. I've seen her before!" Brandon's lower lip jutted out. "He doesn't care about me or mom!" Then, brightening a bit, he asked, "Uncle Peter, I like you a lot. Do you like me?"

"Of course, I do!" Peter wrapped Brandon in a big hug and gave his nose a playful tweak. "I'm really fond of you, kiddo!" "Do you wanna be my dad?"
