Willy froze that instant, unconsciously turning his gaze over to Kayden, who was weak at the knees with fear as he waved his hands non-stop.

"Vo! Cut it out! You heard her..."

This lunatic sure was messed up!

Right then, all he had in mind was how fortunate he was to still be intact.

Turning his gaze back to Lauren, Willy picked her up without another word and strode toward the door, "Let's take you to the hospital!"

"Hey, she's fine..."

After shouting, Kayden tucked his neck before continuing.

"She was force-fed 'Tina'; I've already fed her the antidote. I'm sure you know how to flush it all out of her system! If you don't want to be trouble- ridden, better take her to a private doctor or have one go over to yours. I'm sure you're aware of the situation now!"

Flabbergasted, Willy looked over to his cousin, who reflexively raised his hands to the air. "Don't look at me; I didn't do it! It was Matthew Cruise. A relative of some politician's wife, I think. You know, the old dude, I mean, he looks like an old dude, with an obvious mole on his face and fishes for all sorts of advantages in money, sex, and alcohol! You've probably seen him before!"

Then, Lauren, who was semi-conscious, tugged on Willy's sleeve. "I'm fine. Let's go home! I want to see Yvette!"

It would've been fine if she said nothing, but when she did, Willy's face darkened instantly, and he rushed out the door.

Lauren still captured his abnormality, even if it was just for a split second. "Where's Yvette? Didn't you pick her up? Willy, where's Yvette?"

Her kindergarten wasn't close to the National Hotel. Even if Kayden informed him immediately, there was no way he'd be able to show up so soon! "Everything's okay! Don't worry; I'll definitely save her!"

"Save? What happened to Yvette?"

Struck by the revelation, Lauren jumped down from his arms. "Tell me what happened to Yvette. I want the truth..."

Kayden came out after fixing his clothes and putting on his jacket, frozen when he heard their conversation.

Worked up, Lauren tugged on Willy's shirt. "Willy!"

Willy reflexively reached for his phone, perturbed and more upset than anyone, only to find it missing. Amidst the chaos, the door to the room opened again, followed by a childish sob.

"Mommy!"

Yvette charged at Lauren, wrapping her arms around her mother's leg, sobbing, "Mommy, what happened to you?"

Willy's jaw dropped, wide-eyed at what he was seeing, rubbing his eyes in disbelief before squatting down to pull his daughter into his arms.

"Am I dreaming? My baby girl, you're okay! Are you hurt? Are you injured anywhere?"

As he sized her up, he noticed her shirt was a little scruffy, and her bag was gone. "Where's your bag?"

As too many things happened simultaneously, it was only then Willy remembered he had shown her how to use the auto-saving alarm on her bag, which had a tracker in it.

Yvette burst into tears of grievance at the mention of her bag, wiping them away as they fell like a never-ending waterfall. "Daddy, Daddy! Fleur is a bad girl. She popped my balloon and snatched my bag, and even lied to the teacher I hit her..."

"My teacher even wanted me to apologize to her! She snatched my bag first!"

"Daddy, Daddy, I didn't do anything wrong! Wah... my Bree bag! She snatched my favorite bag!"

Yvette turned around to hug Lauren's leg again, stretching her arms out with grievance, asking her to carry her. "Mommy, I'm innocent! I didn't make trouble. I didn't scratch her; she hit me first!"

But Kayden managed to scoop Yvette into his arms in the nick of time. "Yo, who are you? Are you mad?"

Everyone came to their senses then and charged at her from all directions, restraining her.

Lauren was already drifting between her consciousness, to begin with. Now that she was injured, she was even dizzier from the impact, yet she still cried in pain. "Ouch!"

Willy turned around and quickly helped her up, roaring at Cloud, flying into a rage.

"Cloud, are you insane?! Yvette's only three; what does she know?! I helped

you out as much as I could, seeing you raising two girls on your own But how dare you have someone kidnap my daughter?! Where's your humanity?!"

If he didn't hear it with his own ears, never would he believe a fragile mother, who had just lost a child, would do such a thing.

"You have daughters yourself; losing one, just! I don't believe you don't know what it feels like to lose your child! Even if you don't have a grateful heart, don't you know to do good for your children?!"
