The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage

Chapter 2220

Alda hardly understood what Frank said, but they stared over the steel wall and walked ahead.

They were barely a couple of steps past when Frank heard a rustling. Something was advancing on them, slowly but steadily with a murderous presence.

To no surprise, they made a turn and found a tiger approaching.

It was as tall as an adult person and left its paw prints in the dirt as it walked. At the same time, its ferocious glare was fixed on Frank, as if to tell him that it could devour him at any time!

Alda was shocked. "Tigers can get that huge?"

Frank shook his head. "No, they can't. Someone's done this to it!"

After all, Sally York could alter a person into pure essence and infuse them into a painting. Would a mere animal escape her clutch?noveldrama

It most definitely had something to do with the spiritron vein's power as well, so Frank did not attack it, and instead, tried to chase it away. Unlike humans, animals do not usually get easily scared. Under most circumstances, Frank would need to kill it if he wanted to get past it. However, the tiger was innocent, and Frank really could not bring himself to kill it without reason.

In the control room, a goon was left unsure how to react to that. "Is he stupid? Trying to reason with an animal?"

Pax was curious why Frank did not attack immediately.

This tiger was twice the size of normal humans, but it was still not human. And with someone like Frank who had transcended what was normal and was endlessly experienced in a fight, killing the animal was all too easy.

And yet, he simply did not bother to do it.

"Look, Mr. Jaric!" One of the goons turned pale in shock, and everyone watched in equal astonishment.

The tiger seemed to understand Frank just then and growled before turning around and fled!

"What the hell?! We haven't fed it for days! Shouldn't it be starving?! Why would it run away from food?"

Pax smirked in silence, as he was watching Frank's ring instead.

Clearly, the spiritron vein acknowledged Frank as its owner and somehow communicated with the tiger for him.

On the other end, Alda certainly did not forget to flatter Frank. "They call it the king of the beasts, but it's running away as soon as it sees you." Frank chuckled and brandished his ring. "It's not me. It's all because of this."

Alda had more or less heard about Frank's beef with Sally, and she was aware of the Shagan spiritron vein, as it had chosen her to be its medium.

Nodding, she said, "I won't deny that

it's mostly responsible, but in the

end, it's because it has

acknowledged you. That also

reminds me... why did it use me as a medium? I was in a coma forso long-I'd be dead if you weren't that skilled in medicine."

Having no concrete proof either, Frank could only guess. "It couldn't move, and it most definitely couldn't reach beyond Shagan-so it preked someone whose status was

different from the rest.

"Think about it. You're the heiress of the Ingram family, and once you got sick, your father would call for help, even from other parts of the world. Eventually, I'd get involved too."

Alda nodded again. "True. My family is a big deal in Shagan, at least. While it was right in using me, I guess its plan was unnecessary since you came to help me on your own."

Frank chuckled. "Not everyone dies that quickly, and this is the spiritron vein we're talking about."

"Well, what would've happened to me if you hadn't come?" Alda asked in curiosity.

"I hate to say it, but I guess I should give it to you straight-the spiritron vein wouldn't give a damn if you died. It's basically divine, so it can regard everything else with insignificance!"
