Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 1279

Yvette was probably genuinely exhausted; Willy heard her even breathing in no time, and they went right inside after Lauren tucked the jacket. Returning to Yvette's bedroom, Lauren got the bed ready, then took Yvette's pajamas out and placed the plushies she usually hugged as she slept on the inner side of the bed. After all that was done, she turned around only to see Willy stood motionlessly with Yvette in his arms, his gaze fixed on the little one as a faint smile hung on his face, looking as though he had won a billion-dollar lottery, not daring to smile despite the desire, a little like a buffoon.

With that, she swallowed her words and turned around, pretending to sort the bookshelf next to the bed.

She wasn't sure how much time had passed but seeing he was still carrying Yvette like a buffoon when she turned around, she rolled her eyes at him and asked, "Aren't you tired?"

Looking over, Willy shook his head solemnly. To be honest, he long couldn't feel his arms anymore, but an indescribable sense of happiness enveloped him entirely right then.

Lauren was confident he could really just stand there the whole night if she said nothing.

Looking at him, for the first time, she thought he was actually quite adorable!

She slowly moved to him and carefully took his jacket off Yvette, saying, "Go put her down. She won't be able to sleep comfortably in this position..." Hearing that, he strode to the bed but turned a few times, all thumbs, clearly unsure how and where to put her down.

She went forward and slowly moved Yvette's arms away from Willy's neck, helping him put her down on the bed little by little. Seeing that she was sound asleep, Lauren decided not to change her but unbuttoned her jacket and slowly removed it so that she could sleep more comfortably. Willy didn't dare blink the entire time, latching his gaze at the two ladies in front of him as though they were his whole world.

After tucking Yvette in, Lauren got up and nearly crashed into him, bumping into his chin, reflexively crying out as she rubbed her forehead.noveldrama

"Ouch..."

The next second, Willy, touched her face, slow to react, but his peripheral vision was clearly still on the child on the bed.

"Does it hurt?"

So done with words, Lauren rolled her eyes at him. She hit her forehead... His reaction... He sure had turned into a buffoon.

She couldn't help tittering as she slapped his hand down. "Haha..."

"You giggled?!"

Willy's eyes glazed with happiness as he snapped back to reality.

"Shh..."

Lauren gestured to him to keep it down, leading him outside, closing the door gently before turning to the master bedroom next door.

"She's adorable, isn't she? Willy, whoever was right or wrong, let's let bygones be bygones! I'll raise Yvette. You'll forever be her father; you can come and see her whenever you want or take her out to play! If she wants to live with you when she's older, I won't stop her. I just wish... for her sake; we can respect each other, respect her opinions. Let's leave all the bitterness behind..."

She didn't want them to end up hurt all over and even traumatize an innocent child in the process!

Willy took a step forward and hugged her tightly.

"So you still don't trust me; you're still going to shut me out? Laurie, Yvette aside, what about us?" Were they going to end things just like this, with no rhyme or reason?

Looking into his eyes just as he looked into hers, Lauren didn't know if she had made the right choice; she wasn't as happy and relaxed as she thought after her revenge.

"Laurie, don't you think we've already missed out on too much? Even if we didn't start off in the right order, you would've thought everything through in the last three years. Where would there be hate if not love? Why would I aimlessly wait if I've never loved you? Three years isn't exactly long or short, Laurie, over a thousand nights. I didn't have it any easier than you did. I've lived in suffering and torment every day, looking at all that you've left me. The sweater you gave me, Tutu, your dog plushie..."

Willy's emotions surged as he recalled the past.

"It's just that I've never lived with a woman before. I didn't know I hurt you so badly and caused so many misunderstandings between us. I had loved Cloud before I knew your but we've only dated; we've never lived together. We had created memories together, but that doesn't mean I still miss her; you get me? That's just a part of my past. Like I'd habitually remember some things when I see something similar. Be it her, or you or some man, some thing, none of it means anything special; you get me?"

Willy couldn't make heads or tails as he explained earnestly. In actuality, Lauren understood every bit of it; he, on the other hand, was all over the place, even beginning to sweat on his forehead.

"She's married. Why would I wait until she already had kids if I really want her? If you really mean nothing to me... Three years is enough for me to bear two children! Laurie, I know who I want. If I loved her so much, I would've long taken her back. Why would I wait until now? I didn't throw that cloud lamp away, not because I miss her. It was left I there for so long that I had forgotten about it. It doesn't matter to me whether it's thrown away or not, you understand? Why would I buy you earrings when you don't have piercings? I've never bought other women expensive gifts, not because I'm stingy. It's that I'm afraid they'll cling to me and cause a misunderstanding! Yes, I don't lack women, Laurie, but I won't just touch any woman! Maybe it has
