My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul

Chapter 1626

As Elsie got closer, she could faintly make out Joe through the car window. But no matter how hard she knocked on the glass, he didn't even glance her way. His indifference cut deeper than when they first met.

"Did Skylar say something to you? Is that why you're ignoring me?" she asked, her voice laced with obsession, desperate for an answer.

The woman had warned her. Skylar was someone who would stop at nothing to achieve her goals without any regard for morals. She would hurt anyone who got in her way to get what she wanted, and everyone was expendable for her.

She thought about what the woman had told her and realized how right she was. Skylar gave her exactly that kind of impression.

She was probably the one who had done something to Joe, making him trust her so completely. Luckily, the woman had said there was a way to restore Joe's memory.noveldrama

But for that plan to work, he had to see her.

She had to face him, and she would place an item on him when they were face-to-face. This would trigger his memories.

Elsie would do everything she could to get closer to him no matter what obstacles she faced. She was helping Joe. She would make sure he wouldn't fall victim to Skylar's deception any longer.

Joe was a good man. He deserved pure, real love, not the fake one Skylar offered.

"Hey, what are you doing?" Lucas had had enough. Losing all patience, he grabbed Elsie and pulled her aside.

He couldn't understand why someone as beautiful as Elsie was so fixated on Joe. Joe was already married.

With a forceful shove, he pushed her back several steps, sending her sprawling to the ground. "Why did you push me?" Elsie shouted in protest.

"I tried to talk to you calmly, but you wouldn't listen. Now I have to resort to force to make you understand," Lucas growled.

He then opened the car door, got in, and revved the engine, speeding away.

Elsie stood there, stunned, struggling to process what had just happened. By the time she reacted and tried to stop the car, it was already too late. The car had vanished without a trace. In the distance, she could faintly make out several people walking toward her.

She remembered the phone call Lucas had made earlier. It must have been the security captain arriving with his team.

"Why does this keep happening to me? I was spoiled by my family and never had to suffer growing up. I've never been dismissed like that before. "Why do I have to endure such humiliation now? I've already been shameless enough to cling to Joe. Now I have to deal with these people laughing at me."

Overwhelmed with a sense of injustice, she couldn't help but cry. But her instincts kicked in. She turned and ran, unwilling to lose any more dignity.

If she couldn't meet Joe today, she would find another opportunity. That woman had told her that if she didn't rekindle her relationship with Joe she would never escape Alban's control and would inevitably become his mistress. She would never be able to marry anyone else.

She couldn't let that happen.

Alban was a horrible person. He loved anyone who came his way and many women were always around him. When he grew bored of one, he'd pass her along to another man.

Elsie knew she would have no choice in the matter. Alban controlled her family's future, and one wrong move could bankrupt them, leaving them drowning in debt.

She could end up on the streets. She had heard such stories before.

One of her friends' fathers was close to Alban, so she knew how dangerous he was. Men like Alban were common in their social circles, where everything was treated as something to be shared. Even

relationships and partners were often passed around without a second thought.

The thought of being involved with Alban made her sick. She didn't want to end up as one of his discarded lovers.

Joe had treated her so well in her past life. If he regained his memory, he would remember how much he cared for her. She had to hold on to that hope.
